The Comox Valley Hospice Society is very grateful for the continued generosity of the Comox Valley Monarch Lions Club. Their donation of $750 will help to provide hospice services in the community which include emotional and spiritual support for those who are dying, their families and caregivers, as well as grief counselling and support groups. Appearing left to right Lion Gerd Brockelmann, Lion Ron Webber, newly elected CVHS Chair Chris Swift, CVHS Executive Director Jane Sterk, and Lion Gary Flath.
We are so proud of the Comox Valley Cyclepaths, as the team who raised the most money in this year’s Cycle of Life Tour. Thanks also to Victoria Hospice for organizing the event, and helping to raise awareness of hospice care on Vancouver Island.
We received a very generous donation of $50,000 from the estate of a local woman, who wished for her gift to remain anonymous. Our sincere condolences and appreciation to the family during this tender time.
