Nelda Adamus– Director

Nelda has recently retired from over 30 years experience within the vocational rehabilitation and wellness field facilitating and case managing return to work files for clients with complicated physical and or emotional limitations. She has worked within nonprofits, the provincial government, the BC Teachers Federation, numerous long-term disability companies, and self-employment.

She highlights the following attributes:

• My mediation certificate from the Justice Institute provided valuable skills working with employers, employees, union and family members to create a collaborative and effective problem-solving environment.

• My 40 years of dedicated meditation, spiritual work, and wellness consulting and learning have honoured me with the opportunity to hold compassionate space for myself and others.

• My personal quest is to create circles of joy and belonging where tears and laughter are welcomed. Where ageing, sage-ing, death and dying are honoured as part of our wonderful, complicated lives.

• I enjoy a collaborative, teamwork environment, where my listening and consulting skills can be utilized.

• I welcome learning the skills necessary to assist the hospice board with their goals. I have lots of freedom and energy to roll up my sleeves and help with any of the duties required.

• I have researched many Comox Valley organizations, and my passion, interests and skills are so very much directing me towards the incredible work that the CVHS provides.
