Become a Volunteer

Note: Our next Volunteer Training Course for February 2025 is now full.

The Comox Valley Hospice Society’s ability to care for and support people in our community is dependent on the contributions of our well trained volunteers.

Each volunteer brings their unique life experiences to caring for others. There are a variety of volunteer roles which may be of interest to you such as working directly with clients, assisting in the office, or helping with fundraising and events.

If you are interested in exploring volunteer opportunities, the first step is to complete and submit a Volunteer Application. You will then be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator for a personal interview and to talk about volunteering and our training requirements. We make every effort to find an appropriate match. A current Criminal Record Check is required for all direct care volunteers.

For more information about our Volunteer Program call 250-871-0696.
(We are not accepting new applicants for client support at this time. If you wish to volunteer for fundraising or other projects please contact our Program Coordinator.)

If you are a current volunteer of the Comox Valley Hospice Society, you will have received a login and password to access your personal volunteer calendar as well as a separate login for InfoAnywhere to access volunteer training resources. Click the button below to record the time you’ve spent on particular projects or events, with individual clients, or volunteer education. If you require assistance please call the reception at our office at 250-871-0696 (press 1).
