Care for Caregivers
Join a welcoming, inclusive group for caregivers of aging parents, those with declining health, or with a life-limiting illness. If you're experiencing burnout, feeling challenged navigating the health system, frustrated, or overwhelmed, Care for Caregivers is an opportunity to talk with others who understand. Learn about resources and coping skills, and to recognize your own strengths. Facilitated by Comox Valley Hospice Society volunteers in the lower level of the Comox United Church 250 Beach Drive, Tuesdays 3-4:30pm. (Weekly registration is required.)

Emotional Support
Clients who provide primary care for a friend or family member with a life-limiting illness can access in-person visits or telephone support from CVHS counsellors and/or trained volunteers to address concerns of the significant emotional impact of their caregiving role, as well as the anticipated grief they will experience as the illness progresses.
-
Vigil Support
Depending on CVHS volunteer availability, bedside vigil support can be requested. This can bring family members peace of mind, knowing that their loved one has someone nearby at this tender time.
