Joan Gillies joined the Board of Directors of the Comox Valley Hospice Society in September 2020 and now serves as President. She is a resident of the Comox Valley for over 30 years and raised a family here. Because of her deep love of people, pets and planet, she works part time as a veterinarian and volunteers in Climate Change education.

The Comox Valley Hospice Society supports those at the most vulnerable and tender time of life – a journey we all will walk. Joan is humbled and honoured to serve on a board whose purpose can be summed up in one word: compassion.
